ARLINGTON, VA–The Washington Capitals held their second day of training camp and Brooks Laich continues not to skate with the team.
Capitals Head Coach Adam Oates said Laich skated early Monday morning ahead of the team, but had no update on his health at this time.
Oates though did add some light on who might be his opening night goalie.
“I would think that the guys expect Holts [Braden Holtby] to be in the net based on last year,” Oates said.
The Caps lines today were: Johansson-Backstrom-Ovi, Wolski-Ribeiro-Brouwer, Chimera-Beagle-Ward/Tom Wilson, Hendricks-Perreault-Fehr/Crabb, Hamrlik-Green, Alzner-Carlson, Schultz-Schilling, Hillen-Erskine.
Tomorrow the Caps are likely to have an intrasquad scrimmage at 10:30am at Kettler Capitals Iceplex.
