Under the new leadership of DJ Durkin, the Maryland Terrapins are attempting to quickly turnaround a program down in the dumps with the recruitment of high level talent from across the country.

Although the motto of DMV to UMD lives on in “The Movement”, the Terps have made a valiant effort in bringing in talent from the Sunshine State, a “second home” according to Durkin. All of the players that had not withdrawn their verbal commitments held true to their word as there were no day-of flips.

Here is a running list of all of the high school players (in order of commitment) who have signed their letter of intent. The first four (Richardson, Lees, McLean, and Funk) were early enrollees and are already attending classes for the Spring 2016 semester.

  • CB Antwaine Richardson (6-0, 165): from Delray Beach, Florida, three-star
  • P Wade Lees (6-2, 204): from Melbourne Australia
  • DT Adam McLean (6-2, 313): from Gaithersburg, MD (Quince Orchard), four-star
  • RB Jake Funk (5-11, 197): from Gaithersburg, MD (Damascus), three star

  • QB, dual-threat, Tyrell Pigrome (5-11, 190): from Pinson, AL, three-star and Gatorade Player of the Year for Alabama. Coach Durkin called Pigrome “electric” and soon to be “household name.”
