NATS/CAPS: Washington Capitals Jason Chimera Throws Ceremonial First Pitch at Nationals Game

Unfortunately, the Washington Capitals season is over. Silver lining? Several Caps have dropped by Nationals Park this weekend to support the Nats. Mike Knuble was spotted on Friday night. Brooks Laich, John Carlson and Karl Alzner (wearing a Drew Storen jersey) chilled out in the President’s Club on Saturday night.

Washington Capitals forward Jason Chimera threw out the Ceremonial First Pitch at the Washington Nationals game at Nationals Park on Sunday, May 20. Chimera, in shorts and flip-flops, threw the first pitch to Nationals pitcher Tom Gorzelanny prior to the National’s game against the Baltimore Orioles. Nats won 9-3.

Chimera set career highs in goals (20) and points (39) this season and was one of just six Capitals players to play in all 82 regular-season games. Chimera finished the post-season tied for third on the team in points (7) and goals (4) and led the team in scoring (5 points) during the second round versus the New York Rangers.
