The Washington Nationals defeated the Chicago Cubs 9-2 on Thursday, September 6, 2012 to complete the four game sweep.

In a nutshell: Starting pitcher Jordan Zimmermann returns to form, Bryce Harper continues to hustle and get dirty, Adam LaRoche hits his fifth home run in as many games, Kurt Suzuki has found his swing and hit another homer, there are two bench and bullpen clearing brawls, Davey Johnson is strong, and the Cubs learn not to mess with 3B Coach Bo Porter. Wilson Ramos also returned the dugout to support his teammates while on rehab.

Enjoy your site, commentary and photos. However, when viewing from mobile platform (iPhone), the pictures are always cut off and off screen and wen scrolling down, it continually bounces back up to the top of the page. No “Reader” button appears so I don’t know how to improve. Maybe a mobile version of your blog software is available somehow??? Just an FYI for you both. As I said, I enjoy the site.

  2. I really enjoyed these – you must have great seats!!

    • Cheryl Nichols says:

I bought a ticket for a seat close to the field behind the dugout last night. And I have a 70-200mm lens. :) Glad you enjoyed the photos. Thanks for the comment.

  3. Great photos! I was in Springfield MO last night and was depending on Twitter to follow what was going on. I love how you captured Jayson running out to Bryce’s side.

Also, at the top of the page there’s a misspelling .. there should be a “B” in combination (see below). Sorry, it’s a really bad habit of mine but I figured you would like to know since it reflects your website.

Thank you for taking time look through photos. The photo you mentioned and the very first one are my favorites. Werth and Zimmerman definitely looked after Harper during the chaos. We appreciate the comment and typo has been fixed. Thanks for reading!
