NATS: Washington Nationals 2014 NatsFest Details

The biggest event of the offseason will be held Saturday, January 25
from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center

The Washington Nationals today released new details about 2014 NatsFest, taking place at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center on Saturday, January 25, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Season Plan Holders will have exclusive access to the event for an entire hour (10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.) before NatsFest opens to the general public at 11:00 a.m. For more information on becoming a Season Plan Holder and receiving exclusive benefits like this, visit nationals.com/2014.

More than 20 Nationals players and team personnel are expected to attend the fun-filled baseball festival including* Tyler Clippard, Ross Detwiler, Danny Espinosa, Gio Gonzalez, Scott Hairston, Bryce Harper, Ryan Mattheus, Tyler Moore, Ross Ohlendorf, Anthony Rendon, Tanner Roark, Sammy Solis, Steven Souza, Jr., Denard Span, Craig Stammen, Drew Storen, Stephen Strasburg, Zach Walters and Jayson Werth. Fans will also have the first opportunity to meet three of the team’s newest additions, pitchers Doug Fister and Jerry Blevins, and manager Matt Williams. Nationals President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Mike Rizzo as well as team broadcasters Bob Carpenter, F.P. Santangelo, Charlie Slowes and Dave Jageler are also expected to be in attendance.

Open to fans of all ages, NatsFest will offer a variety of activities including:
o Q & A sessions with players and Nationals staff on various topics
o Exclusive interviews and game shows on the main stage
o Opportunities to take photos with players and team mascots
o A special Jr. Nats Kids area featuring Player Story Times and Kids Press Conferences
o Games, caricatures and interactive events and surprises
o Live demonstrations from Youth Baseball Academy and Nationals Summer Camps instructors

The event will also feature:
o Live broadcast by 106.7 The Fan, the team’s official flagship radio station
o A Big League Lounge for fans 21 and over
o Opportunities to purchase the latest Nationals merchandise as well as game-used and autographed memorabilia
o Batting cages and inflatable games
o D.J. Stylus Chris spinning music throughout the day

Tickets purchased in advance at nationals.com/natsfest will cost $20 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under, with prices increasing to $25 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under the day of the event. Season Plan Holders will receive $5 off the entry fee when tickets are purchased in advance ($15 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under) or on the day of the event ($20 for adults, $10 for children 12 and under). “We’re going to the World Series this year.” – Principal Owner Mark Lerner said during a “State of the Nationals” forum for season ticket holders at NatsFest.

The Washington Nationals held NatsFest on Saturday, January 26 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. By all accounts, it sounded like a big success with more than 7,000 fans (per @NationalsPR).

Fans got a chance to see new Nationals Denard Span and Dan Haren as well as several other Nats players and prospects, including Corey Brown, Tyler Clippard, Ian Desmond, Ross Detwiler, Danny Espinosa, Christian Garcia, Gio Gonzalez, Brian Goodwin, Bryce Harper, Nathan Karns, Steve Lombardozzi, Ryan Mattheus, Tyler Moore, Ryan Perry, Anthony Rendon, Will Rhymes, Matt Skole, Drew Storen, Kurt Suzuki, Chad Tracy, Jayson Werth and Jordan Zimmermann.

The Washington Nationals today released new details about 2013 NatsFest, taking place for the first time at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center on Saturday, January 26, 2013.

More than 25 Nationals players and prospects are expected to attend the fun-filled baseball festival, including but not limited to*: Corey Brown, Tyler Clippard, Ian Desmond, Ross Detwiler, Danny Espinosa, Christian Garcia, Gio Gonzalez, Brian Goodwin, Bryce Harper, Nathan Karns, Steve Lombardozzi, Ryan Mattheus, Tyler Moore, Michael Morse, Ryan Perry, Anthony Rendon, Will Rhymes, Matt Skole, Drew Storen, Kurt Suzuki, Chad Tracy, Jayson Werth and Jordan Zimmermann.

Nationals GM Mike Rizzo and Mark Lerner, one of the team’s Principal Owners, as well as team broadcasters Bob Carpenter, F.P. Santangelo, Charlie Slowes and Phil Wood will also be in attendance. o D.J. Stylus Chris spinning music throughout the day

NatsFest will also offer fans the first opportunity to purchase individual and group tickets to see the Nationals take on the New York Yankees in a special preseason exhibition game on Friday, March 29 at 2:05 p.m. Tickets for NatsFest are currently on sale for Season Plan Holders at $15 for adults and $5 for children under the age of 12, and for the general public at $20 for adults and $10 for children under the age of 12 and can be purchased at nationals.com/natsfest.

Fans planning to utilize Metro’s Red Line to attend NatsFest are encouraged to add at least 20 minutes to their planned travel time due to scheduled weekend track maintenance. For directions and parking, visit the Convention Center website at www.dcconvention.com.

NATS: Washington Nationals Jerseys off their Backs Raffle 2012

JERSEYS OFF THEIR BACKS 2012 RAFFLE TICKETS ON SALE 9/18-9/23

Jerseys Off Their Backs raffle tickets will be sold September 18-23 in the ballpark at the Dream Foundation kiosk on the Center Field Plaza (to the left of Red Porch Restaurant). The raffle is a fan favorite, offering participants the chance to win a game-worn, signed and authenticated Nats jersey from players and coaches.

Tickets are $5 each and will be sold at Nationals Park until 9/23 at 2:00 p.m. and the drawing will be held during the final Sunday home game on 9/23. The winners will be announced and brought to the field to meet the player or coach whose jersey they have won during a post-game ceremony on the field. Participants need not be present to win. Jerseys will be shipped to any winners not in attendance.

The jerseys are donated by the Washington Nationals Baseball Club, and raffle ticket sales benefit the cornerstone programs of the Dream Foundation.

In addition, there is an online auction until September 20 for game-used jerseys worn by Washington Nationals.

Washington Nationals LHP Ross Detwiler Signing Autographs Today

Plan to get to Nationals Park a little early and get an autograph from Washington Nationals lefty Ross Detwiler. Detwiler will be signing from 2:30-3:00 p.m. according to the notice shown during last night’s game.

Washington Capitals Day at Potomac Nationals

The Potomac Nationals, single-A affiliate for the Washington Nationals, celebrated hockey with Washington Capitals Day on Sunday, August 12th at Pfitzner Stadium in Woodbridge, Virginia.

Prior to the P-Nats game against the Winston-Salem Dash at 1:05 p.m.,  Washington Capitals “Enforcer” and NHL Hall of Famer Rod Langway signed autographs and posed for photographs with fans. Langway, known as the “Secretary of Defense”, was a two-time winner of the Norris Trophy which is given to the NHL’s top defensemen. He also finished second to Wayne Gretzky in 1982 for the Hart Trophy which is given to the MVP of the NHL. He won a Stanley Cup with Montreal in 1979. (WOODBRIDGE, VA) – The Potomac Nationals are proud announce Washington Capitals Day is Sunday, August 12th at Pfitzner Stadium as the P-Nats host the Winston-Salem Dash at 1:05 p.m.. The day features Hall of Famer Rod Langway signing autographs, the Capitals cheer team the Red Rockets and mascot Slapshot.

Capitals Legend Rod Langway will hold a meet and greet autograph session at the park on Capitals Day. Langway, known as the “Secretary of Defense”, was a two-time winner of the Norris Trophy which is given to the NHL’s top defensemen. He also finished second to Wayne Gretzky in 1982 for the Hart Trophy which is given to the MVP of the NHL. He won a Stanley Cup with Montreal in 1979. The day will also feature the best cheer team in the NHL: the Red Rockets who will have a meet and greet with the fans. The Red Rockets are also set for a pre-game presentation on the field.

The Capitals mascot Slapshot will also be in attendance. He is set to assist during promotions during the afternoon game.

August 12th will also be a Sunday Family Funday with player autographs before the game, kids running the bases after the game as well as post game family catch in the outfield.

Ted Britt Ford Lincoln Presents the Hall of Fame Pitcher in Woodbridge

(WOODBRIDGE, VA) – Hall of Fame pitcher Rollie Fingers will be at Pfitzner Stadium for the Potomac Nationals June 23rd game with the Winston-Salem Dash. Presented by Ted Britt Ford Lincoln, the event will also feature fireworks following the 6:35 PM start.

Rollie Fingers is set to sign autographs as well as take photos with fans before the game in Woodbridge thanks to Ted Britt Ford Lincoln. The three-time World Series Champion will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. He is set to have an in game autographs session as well.

“We are thrilled and honored to have the great Rollie Fingers to the Pfitz as our guest on June 23rd,” says Potomac General Manager Josh Olerud.

Fingers was inducted to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1992. He spent 17 seasons in MLB with Oakland, San Diego and Milwaukee becoming the first player to save 300 games. When he retired, Fingers was the career saves leader with 341. Fingers won three straight World Championships with Oakland from 1972-1974 which included the 1974 Series MVP Award.

His 1981 season is considered one of the greatest in relief history with the right-hander having a 1.04 ERA with a league-high 28 saves. Not only did he take home the 1981 AL Cy Young award but also the AL MVP with the Brewers. Fingers was named to seven All-Star teams.

The game will also feature post-game fireworks presented by Ted Britt Ford Lincoln which has locations in Fairfax and Chantilly. The contest is set to start at 6:35 against the Winston-Salem Dash who are the Chicago White Sox affiliate for the Carolina League.

The Potomac Nationals, High-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals in Woodbridge, VA, announced Sunday, August 12 as “Washington Capitals Day” at Pfiztner Stadium as the P-Nats host the Winston-Salem Dash.

The day features Caps Hall of Famer Rod Langway signing aoutographs, the Caps cheer team the Red Rockers and a special appearance by Slapshot, the Caps ever-popular mascot.
