NATS: Washington Nationals Jerseys off their Backs Raffle 2012

Jerseys Off Their Backs raffle tickets will be sold September 18-23 in the ballpark at the Dream Foundation kiosk on the Center Field Plaza (to the left of Red Porch Restaurant). The raffle is a fan favorite, offering participants the chance to win a game-worn, signed and authenticated Nats jersey from players and coaches.

Tickets are $5 each and will be sold at Nationals Park until 9/23 at 2:00 p.m. and the drawing will be held during the final Sunday home game on 9/23. The winners will be announced and brought to the field to meet the player or coach whose jersey they have won during a post-game ceremony on the field. Participants need not be present to win. Jerseys will be shipped to any winners not in attendance.

The jerseys are donated by the Washington Nationals Baseball Club, and raffle ticket sales benefit the cornerstone programs of the Dream Foundation.

In addition, there is an online auction until September 20 for game-used jerseys worn by Washington Nationals.

Volunteers can contact the Dream Foundation to take part in the 4th annual event

WHAT: The Washington Nationals Dream Foundation will team up with Anacostia Riverkeeper and Rebuilding Together DC to host the fourth annual Green Up Day on Friday, August 17.

Volunteers from local businesses, the military, community groups and Nationals corporate partners will spend the morning rebuilding natural barriers around lily ponds at Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens and removing trash and debris from the banks of the Anacostia River.

Several Nationals sponsors are contributing to the effort; the project site will be stocked with Dasani water donated by Coca-Cola and Bagsters will be provided by Waste Management to remove the collected trash. Following the morning’s activities, volunteers will head to Nationals Park to enjoy lunch provided by Hard Times Cafe.

Each volunteer will receive a commemorative Green Up T-shirt as well as a ticket to Sunday’s Dream Foundation Day presented by Waste Management, when the Nationals host the New York Mets at 1:35 p.m. A select group of volunteers will also be recognized for their work on the field during the pregame ceremonies.
