“Dark Knight Rises” for the Cause; Movie Stubs Grant P-Nats DonationTickets from New Batman Installment Unlock Discounted Seats at The Pfitz and $1 Contribution to Victims of Colorado Theater Shooting
(WOODBRIDGE, VA) – In the wake of the Aurora, Colorado theater tragedy that claimed the lives of many and injured countless others during a movie screening of the much-anticipated Batman finale, “Dark Knight Rises,” the Potomac Nationals are asking the public to rise to the occasion by showing support to the victims of this catastrophe.
During the P-Nats next homestand at Pfitzner Stadium against the Salem Red Sox (Boston Red Sox) which runs from Tuesday, July 31st until Thursday, August 2nd, fans are encouraged to display their movie stubs from the “Dark Knight” film at the Nationals Ticket Office.
In return, the P-Nats will offer a $3 discount off all seating for any or all of the three contests in the series, and the Nationals will make a $1 donation per ticket purchased to benefit the victims of this disaster. Donations will be made to the Colorado Organization for Victim Assistance (COVA).
In addition, donation boxes will be available at the US Coast Guard Fan Assistance booth on the concourse at The Pfitz.All three games in the series feature a 7:05pm first pitch and gates will open each night at 6:00pm.
The Potomac Nationals thank our great fan base in advance for getting behind this worthy cause.The Colorado Organization for Victim Assistance helps heal those who have been affected by crime with its education, leadership and advocacy programs. COVA is working with the Aurora Police Department to coordinate donations for victims of the movie theater shooting.
