RHP Chien-Ming Wang gets the start for the Potomac Nationals in his second rehab of the year in Woodbridge with first pitch set for 7:05 p.m. He is wearing #43.
Wang made a rehab appearance on April 28th in Woodbridge tossing four one-run innings striking out three against Myrtle Beach. In 2011, he pitched on July 2nd for the P-Nats throwing four scoreless frames.
Wang, 32, is 2-3 with a 7.61 ERA for Washington over seven games including four starts this season. He is currently on the 15-day DL with a hip strain. Over seven years with New York (NL) and Washington, Wang is 61-32 with 4.26 ERA over 756 2/3 innings. Wang’s finest year was 2006 with the Yankees when Wang finished second in Cy Young voting and led the AL with 19 wins.
