Washington Redskins: Week 15 Injury Report

The Washington Redskins have been one of the harder hit franchise in the National Football League and in the midst of a NFC East playoff battle, they can ill afford to lose any more valuable pieces because they simply are not a good enough football team to overcome it.

  • Jason Hatcher (neck/knee/rest): DNP on Wednesday but limited Thursday and Friday (ACTIVE) while he heals from suffering a stinger against the Cowboys to go along with his usual rest day.
  • DeSean Jackson (knee): DNP during Wednesday’s practice, limited on Thursday and Friday (ACTIVE) with his left knee patella contusion. All sides involved are expecting the deep threat to be available against Buffalo. “He ran out around pretty good today in individual. Did some team drills, too.” according to Gruden after Thursday’s practice.
  • Jeron Johnson (hamstring): limited throughout the week and INACTIVE for Sunday after not playing against the Bears.
  • Trent Williams (foot): limited during Wednesday’s practice as a new addition to the injury report, but Gruden laughed it off as nothing more than a temporary rest period. As expected, the Silver Back returned to practice in FULL on Thursday and Friday and is officially ACTIVE.
  • Keenan Robinson (shoulder): limited during another week of practice (ACTIVE) as the former starting inside linebacker has not played a snap in the past two games that he has been active for.
  • Chris Thompson (shoulder): INACTIVE after being limited throughout the week. Jay Gruden said their is some optimism that the third down back can go against the Bills, but Washington still have Pierre Thomas on their roster just in case. Expect either Thompson or Thomas to be active on Sunday, but not both.
  • Andre Roberts (knee): INACTIVE after not being able to participate on Thursday and Friday as the team fears surgery might be required to repair a meniscus injury. Washington will make a decision soon with regards to his roster spot during the stretch run. Roberts will make a decision this weekend with his agent and doctors on whether or not he will want to go forward with a surgical treatment option.
  • Perry Riley Jr. (foot): INACTIVE with his broken fifth metatarsal bone.
  • DaShon Goldson (wrist/knee), Ryan Grant (abdomen), Will Compton (shoulder) and DeAngelo Hall (toe) were full participants throughout the week and are ACTIVE.

The Buffalo Bills will be without CB Stephon Gilmore, TE Charles Clay, RT Seantrel Henderson, S Aaron Williams, LB Nigel Bradham, and CB Ron Brooks. The Redskins might also avoid facing DE Mario Williams, RB Karlos Williams, and ex-Skins S Bacarri Rambo.

Check back for current information regarding Redskins injury up until kickoff from FedEx Field on Sunday.
